Isolation of chicken anaemia agent from Australian poultry [hens]

Experiments on broiler hens indicated that chicken anaemia agent (CAA) is present in Australian poultry and that it may be transmitted with extracts of infected liver and gut. The presence of CAA in the gut of a normal adult hen, which has not been reported previously, has important implications for the epidemiology of the agent.
