In Ukraine in connection with shortage of fungicides and low buying capacity of grain producers the chemical protection of agricultural crops, in particular of winter wheat, has weakened resulting in worsening of the phytosanitary state of sowings. As a result of research a number of measures are revealed which create favourable phytosanitary state at winter wheat sowings. Among these are the crop rotations, sowing dates, optimal sowing rates, resistant varieties. Use of scientifically grounded complexes of the growing techniques makes it possible to avoid chemical treatments during growing period and to reduce energy consumption.
