The performance of milk yield and quality of ex-imported grade dairy cows in different altitude region of East Java (Indonesia)

Inglés. The development of dairy cows husbandry and the existence of imported dairy cows have changed the variation of milk yield ability as a result of adaptation to the environment. This research was intended to know the performance of the milk yield of the ex-imported grade dairy cows in different altitude regions. For the research, monthly recording was carried out on 110 dairy cows (local, grade and ex-imported) as the respondents taken at random in Pujon-Malang, Tutur-Pasuruan (for the high altitude regions approx 1000 meters above sea level) and lactation was equalized 305 days with twice milking. The milk yield were weighed every morning and afternoon; the analysis of milk quality was composed (every morning and afternoon) by analysis the fat percentage, casien and specific gravity. The data analysis used test square method. The results of the research showed that altitude and breed influenced significantly on the milk yield and fat percentage (P0,01). While the casien percentage and specific gravity didn't significantly influence on them. The average milk yield in one lactation for the local, grade and ex-imported in the high altitude regions are 2961.24 approx 647.17 kg, 3788.61 approx 742.59 kg, and 4.052,61 approx 819.11 kg respectively; and in the low altitude regions are 2211.99 approx 467.68 kg, 2498.92 approx 584.77 kg and 3241.66 approx 934.88 kg respectively; the milk fat percentage in the high altitude regions are 4.19 approx 0.40 percent, 4.22 approx 0.41 percent and 4.30 approx 0.51 percent respectively; while in the low altitude regions are 3.86 approx 0.32 percent, 4.07 approx 0.29 percent and 4.31 approx 0.54 percent respectively

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui tampilan produksi susu sapi perah turunan eks impor diberbagai ketinggian tempat berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan secara survai dengan melakukan recording setiap bulan terhadap 110 ekor sapi perah (lokal, turunan dan eks impor) sebagai responden yang diambil secara acak di kecamatan Pujon kab. Malang dan kecamatan Tutur kab. Pasuruan (dataran tinggi +- 1000 m dpl.) dan kecamatan Grati kab. Pasuruan (dataran rendah +- 4 m dpl.). Estimasi produksi susu dilakukan dalam satu laktasi dengan konversi 305 hari dengan dua kali pemerahan
