The report includes the present status of vegetables production, the constraints facing on both the smallholder as well as the commercial producers and the recommendations to overcome this constrains. Also cultural practices of some vegetables crops and an outline 3 years research program are recorded in the report. Implementation and recommendation by the Kilimo should enhance the chance of overcome shortage in vegetable production in Zanzibar where doubling the yield of any vegetable crop is visible. Encouraging smallholder farmes as well as large production farmers by all possible means will even speed progress toward self sufficient in vegetables production
