Haslam, J.
The background for this paper is the practical experience of providing management training and development programmes to the food processing industries of Slovakia and Hungary over a period of two years. In both countries, all branches of the food processing sector were covered, and in each of the countries, the main emphasis of the work was put on agricultural universities. Present differences between West European and East European managers are manifested especially in different professional and success priorities as well as in behavior priorities with respect to their fellow workers.
