Nitrogen is one of the major nutrients that forms a limiting factor for the growth and production of plants in most soils in coming from natural gas, a non renewable energy source, is needed. The use of green manure Sesbania rostrata as a source of nitrogen to substitute for the use of nitrogen fertilizer is one effort to implement an agricultural policy of limited resources. Some of the research show that the use of Sesbania rostrata as green manure could increase grain yield
