Hybridizations were done at Sukarami Experimental Farm (Andosol soil) from May to December 1993. The parents used were 27 clones/varieties which consisted of 2 improved varieties, 6 promising clones, and 19 local clones. Two plants were planted for each clone. Hand and open polinations were done in these experiment. Result showed that 128 seeds were produced from hand polinations, while from open polinations were produced 16.038 seeds originated from 24 maternal parents. BIS 192 (Op)-Sr-144 gave the higher number of seeds (4908 seeds), and it means that BIS 192 (Op)-Sr-144 is very compatible as maternal parent
