Vegetation survey of NOLIDEP pilot communities

The report is the result of an investigation undertaken by Enviroscience at the request of the NOLIDEP programme for a survey of vegetation of grazing lands in two pilot communities, namely Okatjali in the Oshana region and the Kebbe area in the Caprivi region.The aim of the field survey was to define different vegetation units in each area and to develop a methodology for mapping and defining vegetation resources which could be used widely by extension staff and research officers of the Ministry of Agriculture. The contents of the report cover an introduction, terms of reference, timing and field work, evaluation of available data, proposed methodology, vegetation units in the pilot communities, recommendations, references and appendices.
