For a further productive and non-polluting fodder production it is recommended to intensify the development of semi-intensive fodder production systems for areas like the glacial sanders of Northern Germany, which are characterized on one side by large parts of arable land and on the other side by a high degree of specialization on dairy farming.

In Landschaftaraumen wie den glazialen Sanderflachen, die einerseits durch ackerfahige Standorte und andererseits durch einen hohen Grunland-/Futterbauspezialisierungsgrad gekennzeichnet sind, wird im Sinne der Weiterfuhrung einerleistungsfahigen und umweltvertraglichen Milchproduktion empfohlen, vermehrt an der Entwicklung semi-intensiver Futterbausysteme zu arbeiten.
