Occurrence of predatory mites (Phytoseiidae) and their species composition on black currant plantations in different regions of Poland
1998
Niemczyk, E. | Sekrecka, M. (Research Institute of Pomology and Floriculture, Skierniewice (Poland))
The occurrence of predatory mites (Phytoseiidae) was observed in 1992 on 121 black currant plantations located in different parts of Poland. The phytoseiids were found on 48 percent of the plantations. On inhabited plantations, they occurred in a low or a very low number. Eight phytoseiid species were noted on black currants. The dominant one was Amblyseius andersoni. The low population of phytoseiids observed on black currant or their absence was probably due to pesticide treatments
