Educational needs in agriculture and the possibilities of meeting them by application of new information technologies

Under market economy the farmers' role is to be a manager rather than a technologist or engineer. One should have skills of managing farm, making diagnosis of production process and understanding technology. For such a reason it is crucial to improve the farmers' education. Basic education should enable to complete the knowledge by permanent self-education including its recent, network based forms. Access to new knowledge carriers depends on the ability of using computer technologies. Ability to casual-and-result reasoning, understanding the events and their logic are required. On such a basis the fundamental forms and schemes of education in agriculture were discussed
