Technical equipment of the family farms in Fajslawice and Jeziorzany communes of Lublin province was evaluated. The analysis was limited to specialistic machines only. Number of the machines per 100 tractors, cereal, potato and grassland area per 1 machine and a number of farms per 1 specialistic machine were assumed as the indices. Most significant factors affecting equipment of the farms with specialistic machines were the quality of agricultural land and production intensity. The role of farm acreage was less important
