Business efficiency as a prerequisite of a competitive agrarian sector
2000
Bervidova, L. (Ceska Zemedelska Univ., Prague-Suchdol (Czech Republic))
The essential objective of the Czech Republic agrarian policy, before the EU accession, is the accomplishment of the agrarian sector competitiveness towards the EU. The basic prerequisite of the competitiveness, in general, is the business efficiency, which depends on efficient utilisation of production factors fixed in the enterprise (technological efficiency) and on the efficiency of the products market allocation (allocation efficiency). Both types of efficiency are interrelated and influencing each other. The technological efficiency is the prerequisite of the allocation efficiency and the allocation efficiency subsequently affects the technological efficiency and hence also the product market competitiveness.
