The research on the economic systems of family farms situated in the region of copper-works "Glogow" was based on the data collected from 110 farms with varying soil quality. The research was aimed at analysing the organizational structure of the farms in zones I and II with respect to production restrictions and recommendations for the 2 zones. The second level synthetic analysis and the methodology by Kopec were used in the study. No differences in crop and stock production were found. Corn, root and industrial crops were predominant along with pig production. The intensity of production on the farms under investigation was comparable and high. The farmers paid more attention to the market conditions than to the restrictions introduced by local authorities of the polluted regions (zone I)
