The effect of increasing rates of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium as well different levels of complex NPK fertilization on the yield an chlorophyll, sugars and ascorbic acid contents in leeks at different growth stages in pot experiment was studied. The optimum doses of studied nutrients, estimated with respect to polynominal function 2 degrees were equal to 133 mg N, 87 mg P and 158 mg K per cubic dm of the soil. It was found that N as well as complex NPK fertilizer increased chlorophyll and ascorbic acid contents in leeks, while P and K nutrition brought reverse results. Each of the studied nutrients decreased the content of soluble sugars in plants. Irrespective of the mineral status of plants, the chlorophyll and ascorbic acid decreased while soluble sugars contents considerably increased along with the growing period
