Effect of feeding hopper design on functional parameters of a roller mill

Paper presented the investigation results of a two-roller grain mill. It was found that the design of feeding hopper in grain mill affected either, the specific energy consumption at cereal grain grinding and the content of dusty fraction in ground material. Energy consumption was the lowest at grain mill equipped with feeding hopper of new construction; in comparison to traditional hopper it was by 17% lower
