Paper describes the method and results of investigation on the influence of moisture content of green crop (19, 30, 41 and 50%), supplied with microbiological-enzymatic additive (Lactacel-L) and harvested as round big bales wrapped with plastic foil, on the quality of produced haylage. Significant differences in quality among obtained haylages (evaluated according to Flieg-Zimmer scale) were observed depending on the moisture content of green crop harvested for ensiling
