Effect of various protein components, used in concentrates for cows, on production of milk and its selected components

The objective of the experiment was to compare the effect of three protein components of concentrates in rations with maize and grass silage. The animals were divided into 3 groups. The experiment lasted for 7 months. Feed rations were balanced according NEL system. Roughages were administrated ad libitum whereas their intake was controlled. Concentrates were standarized. The following protein components were employed in the mixed feed: group 1 - rapeseed meal; group 2 rape cake and group 3 horse bean and white lupin. Cow yield, as calculated in kg FCM was higher in group 2 in comparison to groups 1 and 3
