Characteristics and utility value of several plant communities present in the Sudety Mountains

The research, carried out from 1987-90, in the Sudety Mountains in Poland concerned 8 plant communities present in mountain meadows in the region. Five of them were formed by dicotyledonous plants, i.e: Ranunculus acer et repens, Taraxacum officinale, polygonum bistorta, Anthriscus silvestris and Rumex obtusifolius, whereas three others by grasses, i.e.: Deschampsia caespitosa, Dactylis glomerata and permanent meadow with multi-species gramineous composition.
