Ridomil MZ, Blitox-50, Emisan-6, Formalin, Acetic acid and Zinc sulfate, Boric acid, Boric acid and sulfur and use of common scab free and infected seed tubers were tested for the management of common scab of potato under randomized complete block design with four replications. Disease was assessed at the time of harvest and percentage healthy and infected tubers were calculated to judge the effectiveness of chemicals. Mean percentage surface area of harvested tuber covered by common scab lesions was also calculated. Seed tubers dipped in solution of acetic acid+zinc sulfate had the highest percentage of common scab free harvested tubers followed by Blitox-50 and Emisan-6. From surface area covered by lesion point of view, seed tubers dipped in Emisan-6 before planting had the lowest percentage (2) surface area of harvested tuber covered by lesion followed by Acetic acid+zinc sulfate and Blitox-50.
