Development of agrotourism in the region of Wielkopolska and expected effects

An agrotourism began to develop in the region of Great Poland from the beginning of 1990. An advisory and educational help for inhabitants of a village who are undertaking this activity, provided and still provide Centres of Agricultural Advising. Owners of the farms working for agrotourism can also profit from preference credits from the Agency of Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture and from other institutions. About 300 farms work for agrotourism in the region of Great Poland in present moment. Owners of the agrotouristic farms work in local associations. The effect of agrotourist activity on country-areas is creation of new workplaces, a growth of income of agricultural families, an activation and integration of country-environments, a growth of aspiration and ambition of farmers, a better appearance of villages and a development of an infrastructure
