In the paper the actual status of soil fertility with respect to pH and the content of available nitrogen (Nmin), phosphorus, potassium and magnesium in 16 provinces of Poland is presented on the base of soil analyses carried out by Agrochemical Laboratories in 1994-99. In the North-West and South-West Poland the agrochemical parameters of soils were much better than in Central and East Poland. It can be explained by higher doses of fertilizers and better soil properties and its agricultural suitability
