Application of logistic regression to investigate the indices of technical advancement

An attempt was made to determine diagnostic potential of the variables describing a farm with respect to indices of technical advance in agriculture. With the use of logistic regression it was detected, which ones from among independent variables on a farm crucially affect the level of technical equipment in agriculture and high index of technical equipment efficiency. The study showed that the level of technical equipment in agriculture mostly depended - from among considered variables describing a farm - on the acreage of industrial crops and variable (operation) costs of mechanization. However, the index of technical equipment efficiency was strongest affected by grassland acreage
