2000
Richter, G.
Alemán. The results of two tests with laying hens at the age of 21-44 weeks and 2-10 % of linseed press-cake in the feed did not show any significant changes in the performance citeria. There was a tendency of a slightly reduced egg production when the portion of linseed press-cake was increased. The crude fat contents in the liver decreased when the linseed press-cake portion in the feed was increased. Health-beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids are being fortified in the egg yolk, this being a factor which can be used as commercial advantage. A maximum content of 6 % of linseed press-cake in the laying hen feed is recommended.
