The studies on the response of 100-day old lamb of the Pomeranian sheep (PxP) and its crossbreds F1 with mutton breed rams: Black-headed (PxCz) and Texel (PxT), to weaning and transportation to slaughterhouse, were conducted. Blood samples for the tests were collected 3 times: before weaning, after 15h weaning and after transportation of lambs to the slaughterhouse. In blood, content of cortisol, glucose and haematocrite was determined. The highest level of hormone was found in the particular genetic groups were significantly (P=0.05). The average haematocrite levels found in the particular genetic groups were 0.29 (PxP), 0.28 (PxCz) and 0.27 (PxT). The differences between PxP and PxT groups were significantly (P=0.01). Any effect of animal genotype on values of glucose was not observed
