Lysozyme activity in lambs blood serum of different genetic groups

The research was carried out on 100 days old lambs of Pomeranian and Ile de France sheep and crossbreeds Pomeranian sheep with rams of Ile de France and Texl breeds. Lysozyme activity in genetic group of animal was significantly variable (P0.05). Higher lysozyme activity observed in cross breed sheep. Weaning of lambs from mothers has no correlation with lysozyme activity. However transportation to slaughterhouse caused increase in enzyme activity with variable intensity corresponding to different breeding groups. Highest was in Ile de France and lowest in local Pomeranian rams
