Main factors forming the content and fractional composition of humus in gypsic rendzinas from the Niecka Nidzianska area
2001
Niemyska-Lukaszuk, J. | Ciarkowska, K. (Agricultural University, Cracow (Poland). Dept. of Soil Science and Soil Protection)
The objective of the study was to determine the content and character of the humus compounds in gypsic rendzinas of different subtypes and ascertain the main factors which influence fractional humus composition. The presence of active calcium favours humus accumulation but delays the process of its deformation: by slowing down polimerization of humic acids, high amount of humines is formed. All the subtypes of rendzinas differ in the degree of development of humification processes
