The article highlights the peculiarities of planning and setting up new vineyards; planting and implementing them in practice through work projects. The paper summarizes the results obtained over several years by the authors on the establishment of vineyards, taking into account the achievements of science and practice in the Republic of Moldova, and generalizing data on quality and quantity of grape production obtained in households of the Republic of Moldova. The presented work is intended for managers and specialists of agricultural households who plan to set up new vineyards. The presented material is meant to emphasize the criteria underlying the establishment of efficient, highly productive, sustainable and long-lived grape plantations.
