Infection pressure of PVY, PVM, PVS and PLRV in the period 2006–2008 in Bonin | Presja wirusów Y, M, S i liściozwoju ziemniaka w latach 2006–2008 w Boninie

Inglés. The investigations were carried out under field conditions in Bonin (the northern region of Poland) in the years 2006-2008. The aim of the work was to determine and compare infection pressure of PVY, PVM, PVS and PLRV at different periods of the growing season. In accordance with the established methodology, every 10 days between 21 May and 1 September healthy test plants were exhibited in the field, in the number of 20 (2006 and 2007) or 30 (2008). Test plants were 7–10 days old and they were grown in an insect-proof greenhouse in pots with a 18 cm in diameter, filled with a mixture of peat soil and compost. A field exposure of plants lasted 10 days and then the plants were transferred to the greenhouse. After finishing the growing season, the tubers were harvested and kept in storage house. All tubers were tested for presence of PVY, PVM, PVS and PLRV (tuber indexing) in May and June. PVY showed the highest infection pressure, and its spread was most intense in the first decade of July. The average for 3 years indicates that the percentage of tubers infected in that period reached over 80%. PVM and PVS infection pressures were several times lower. The dynamics of PVY, PVM and PVS spread was generally at the same level throughout the growing season. It may indicate that the most important vectors of these viruses are essentially the same species of aphids. High PVY, PVM and PVS infection pressure was recorded in the very early period of plant vegetation. In 2007, the percentage of tubers infected with these viruses in the third decade of May was 46.9, 50,1 and 35.2%, respectively. It can therefore be assumed that in some years, the infection occurring in the early period of plant vegetation may have the decisive impact on tubers infection. The extremely low level of infection with PLRV (1.8% of infected tubers) strongly suggest that this virus has no economic significance under conditions of this part of Poland.

Polaco. Badania przeprowadzono w warunkach polowych w Boninie k. Koszalina na północy Polski w latach 2006-2008. Ich celem było poznanie presji wirusów PVY, PVM, PVS i PLRV w okresie wegetacji roślin. Zgodnie z założoną metodyką prac, co 10 dni, w terminie od 21 maja do 1 września, dokonywano ekspozycji w polu, każdorazowo po 20 (lata 2006 i 2007) lub 30 (w 2008 roku) zdrowych roślin ziemniaka (traktowanych jako rośliny testowe) w wieku 7-10 dni, które przygotowano w szklarni w doniczkach o średnicy 18 cm wypełnionych mieszanką torfu z dodatkiem ziemi kompostowej. Każdorazowo po 10 dniach ekspozycji rośliny przenoszono do szklarni wolnej od owadów. Po zakończeniu wegetacji zbierano bulwy potomne oddzielnie z każdej rośliny i w następnym roku poddawano je diagnostyce na obecność PVY, PVM, PVS i PLRV w próbie oczkowej w szklarni. Największe zagrożenie dla ziemniaka w latach badań stanowił PVY, a jego szerzenie się było najintensywniejsze w pierwszej dekadzie lipca. Średni z 3 lat udział bulw porażonych w tym terminie wyniósł ponad 80%. Kilkakrotnie mniejsza była presja PVM i PVS. Przebieg dynamiki szerzenia się PVY, PVM i PVS był na ogół podobny przez cały sezon wegetacyjny, co może świadczyć, że najważniejszymi wektorami tych wirusów są zasadniczo te same gatunki mszyc. Stwierdzono wysoką presję PVY, PVM i PVS w bardzo wczesnym terminie wegetacji roślin. W 2007 roku odsetek bulw porażonych już w trzeciej dekadzie maja wyniósł dla tych wirusów odpowiednio: 46,9, 50,1 i 35,2%. Można zatem przypuszczać, że w niektórych latach o porażeniu plantacji nasiennych przez te wirusy decydują infekcje dokonane właśnie w tym wczesnym terminie wegetacji roślin. Stwierdzona niezmiernie niska presja PLRV (odsetek bulw porażonych nie przekroczył średnio 1,8%), może oznaczać, że w warunkach Bonina wirus ten nie miał istotnego znaczenia ekonomicznego.
