Se determina como problema central la existencia de modelos insostenibles de producción y consumo dentro de la ciudad de Bogotá, producto de los patrones y hábitos culturales presentes en la sociedad y sumado a una carencia de responsabilidad y conciencia ambiental por parte del sector industrial, empresarial y, en general, dentro de los consumidores de bienes y servicios. Lo anterior se manifiesta en procesos que excluyen las externalidades ambientales, metodologías como la de ciclo de vida y en la baja inclusión de buenas prácticas de producción y consumo. La monografía realizada tuvo el objetivo de formular propuestas y recomendaciones a partir del diagnóstico de la situación actual de los negocios verdes, en el marco de la Política Pública Distrital de Producción y Consumo Sostenible (PDPCS), entendiendo las estrategias de negocios verdes como una herramienta potencial para alcanzar la transición a modelos de producción y consumo sostenible en la ciudad de Bogotá e incentivar la economía verde y, por supuesto, aumentar la oferta y demanda de negocios en el centro de producción y consumo más relevante del país. Por otro lado, como parte del quehacer de la academia y su papel fundamental en investigación y extensión social, la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas toma la responsabilidad de promover la sostenibilidad en la ciudad de Bogotá. En respuesta a lo anterior, surge como objetivo darle continuación a la investigación desarrollada por la docente Martha Isabel Mejía De Alba “Evaluación de la Política de Producción Sostenible para el Distrito Capital e identificación de medidas para su reformulación” publicada en agosto de 2015 y ser la actualización del trabajo de grado desarrollado por Lizeth Vanegas en el año 2014 “Diagnóstico de los Programas Educación en Consumo Sostenible y Mercados Verdes de la Política de Producción Sostenible del Distrito Capital (2003)” Para el cumplimiento del objetivo planteado se establecieron tres fases metodológicas, a saber: la primera, una fase preliminar, buscó establecer el estado del arte de los negocios verdes dentro de la ciudad de Bogotá, así como la identificación de los actores responsables de la formulación de estrategias de negocios verdes y las metas y objetivos trazados por la Secretaría Distrital de Ambiente (SDA) para promover el Programa de negocios verdes. En la segunda fase, se evaluó el grado de cumplimiento de las metas que se ha trazado la SDA, desde el año 2014 hasta el año en vigencia, y se realizó un análisis al Programa de negocios verdes dentro del Proyecto de actualización de la Política Pública Distrital de Producción y Consumo Sostenible 2021-2038. Para finalizar, en la última fase planteada, se formularon propuestas y recomendaciones de mejora para los instrumentos de planificación distrital en lo relacionado con los negocios verdes. Como resultado esperado, se tuvo la identificación del avance, por parte de la SDA, en lo relacionado con negocios verdes, el diagnóstico de la situación actual y la formulación de propuestas para la mejora de las estrategias de negocios verdes dentro de la actualización de la PDPCS 2021-2038.

The existence of unsustainable models of production and consumption within the city of Bogotá is determined as a central problem, a product of the cultural patterns and habits present in society and added to a lack of responsibility and environmental awareness on the part of the industrial and business sector and, in general, within the consumers of goods and services. This is manifested in processes that exclude environmental externalities, methodologies such as life cycle and the low inclusion of good production and consumption practices. The monograph had the objective of formulating proposals and recommendations based on the diagnosis of the current situation of green businesses, within the framework of the District Public Policy of Sustainable Production and Consumption (PDPCS), understanding green business strategies as a potential tool to achieve the transition to models of sustainable production and consumption in the city of Bogotá and encourage the green economy and, of course, increase the supply and demand of businesses in the most relevant center of production and consumption of the country. On the other hand, as part of the work of the academy and its fundamental role in research and social extension, the Francisco José de Caldas District University takes responsibility for promoting sustainability in the city of Bogotá. In response to the above, the objective is to continue the research developed by the professor Martha Isabel Mejía De Alba "Evaluation of the Sustainable Production Policy for the Capital District and identification of measures for its reformulation" published in August 2015 and to be the update of the degree work developed by Lizeth Vanegas in 2014 "Diagnosis of the Programs Education in Sustainable Consumption and Green Markets of the Policy of Sustainable Production of the Capital District (2003)" For the fulfillment of the proposed objective, three methodological phases were established, namely: the first, a preliminary phase, sought to establish the state of the art of green business within the city of Bogotá, as well as the identification of the actors responsible for the formulation of green business strategies and the goals and objectives set by the District Secretariat of Environment (SDA) to promote the Green Business Program. In the second phase, the degree of compliance with the goals set by the SDA was evaluated, from 2014 to the year in force, and an analysis of the Green Business Program was carried out within the Project to update the District Public Policy of Sustainable Production and Consumption 2021-2038. Finally, in the last phase proposed, proposals and recommendations for improvement were formulated for district planning instruments in relation to green businesses.
