La contaminación del aire en Bogotá es un tema que cada día es más tratado ya que no solo afecta el medio ambiente, además afecta la salud humana, existen personas que son más vulnerables a sufrir enfermedades agudas por estos contaminantes, entre los cuales se encuentran los niños menores a 5 años y los adultos mayores, en este caso se investiga lo relacionado a los niños afectados en la localidad de Kennedy, UPZ 82 durante cuatro años (del 2016 al 2019), para ello se utilizan las bases de datos de la CAMI de Patio Bonito y la RMCAB, para después determinar las principales causas de ERA, entre estas se encuentra el PM 2.5 según una matriz Vester realizada, se cuantifica un aproximado de los costos tanto directos como indirectos relacionados con el tratamiento de un caso ERA, y finalmente la correlación estadística existente entre los casos ERA atendidos en esos años y la cantidad de PM 2.5 que se generó en ese lapso de tiempo, se utiliza el software estadístico Stata y se tienen en cuenta los rezagos de tiempo ya que una cantidad de contaminante inhalada no afecta inmediatamente, puede afectar en el corto, mediano y largo plazo dependiendo de la concentración que se presentó y el nivel de vulnerabilidad del afectado para finalmente determinar en cuanto varia estadísticamente la cantidad de casos ERA atendidos en la CAMI de Patio Bonito por cada µm/m^3 de PM 2.5 que se emita o se deje de emitir.
