The climate is said to bring about a natural water flow into the soils of a certain area as well as about evapotranspiration intensity. Among other things, soil water irrigation is also influenced by these two parameters. The overall rainfalls have, more or less, been incompletely used with the effective rainfalls being only used. Therefore, it is the moisture availability index that determines to which extent the soils on a particular area will be supplied with rainfall water in relation to the potential evapotranspiration value. The paper gives a longterm series (1998-2017) of the precipitation frequency analysis and their availability with 75% probability as well as the potential evapotranspiration for the soils of heavy mechanical composition of the area of Kraljevo for the vegetation period, i.e. per months and averagely. According to Hargreaves, the result of moisture availability index (MAI) denotes to the prevalently moderately deficient soil with water, recorded to be 0.64 in April, 0.67 in May, 0.58 in June, 0.37 in August and 0.62 in September, respectively, during which periods water irrigation supply was not used to the fullest. In contrast to that, the result of analysis made in the paper denotes to the soils having the moisture availability index of up to 0.32 over July and, thus, to be extremely deficient with water due to which water irrigation seems unavailable.
