Abstract: The strengths and limitations of post-column reaction (PRC) detectors and their application in the analysis of specific citrus acid products by high-performance liquid chromatography are reviewed. The applications of the PRC detection method are demonstrated through the analysis of amino acids and aldicarb content in orange juice. Chromatograms and analysis data are presented and discussed.
