1977
Beller, Anne Scott
Abstract: Taking a new perspective on obesity, the book examines factors determining body weight including primitive man's storage of food as subcutaneous fat to live off of in times of scarcity. Underlying constitutional factors in overweight and how they may be manipulated for weight loss are considered. Major aspects discussed are geography, genetics, women, pregnancy, somatotype, hormones, physiology, psychology, psychobiology, ecology, and solutions.
