Abstract: Food exchange lists and guidelines for planning diets lower in saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium, and higher in fiber are outlines in this easy-to-use meal planning guide from Bro/Menn Health Care. Exchange lists show foods included in each food group; serving sizes; and the protein, carbohydrate, and fat content of each food exchange. The guide was designed for children, weight loss patients, and persons being introduced to a meal plan for the first time. A sample format for a typical meal plan is provided.
