Extract: Information is presented regarding the characteristics of the Florida perishables trucking industry. Topics covered include carrier types, backhaul practices, load configurations, use of brokers, number of pickups and drops, and problems as perceived by the carriers. The information was gathered via interviews with over 400 drivers from November 1982 to March 1983.
