Abstract: Morton Lite Salt is a combination of sodium and potassium chlorides which can be used interchangeably with regular salt yet contains half the usual sodium. While not intended for use in sodium or potassium restricted diets, it is a new approach to reducing sodium intake without reducing flavor. Recipes from appetizers to desserts also include nutrition information on the per-serving content of calories, carbohydrates, protein, fat, sodium, potassium, and cholesterol. General nutrition information includes tips on weight control, food selection, meal planning, and diet improvement.
