Assessment of the effects of soil application of drilling wastes on soils and crops under controlled-growth room conditions and evaluation of the soil and crop conditions associated with the present on-lease and off-lease drilling waste disposal practices in the Kindersley and Estevan areas. The study involved evaluation of the phytotoxicity of a number of sump fluid (waste) samples collected from the two study regions. Each waste sample is a composite of several subsamples collected from different locations and depths within the sump. Wheat was used and varying amounts of drilling waste were applied.
