Chloroacetamide herbicides and their transformation products in drinking water
2006
Hladik, Michelle L. | Roberts, Alice Lynn | Bouwer, Edward J.
While the parent herbicides have been well documented in natural waters, relatively little is known about the occurrence of herbicide degadates in water. Those chloroacetamide degradates (the ionic ethane sulfonic acids and oxanilic acids) that have been previously studied in natural waters are found more frequently and at higher concentrations than the parent herbicide. The chloroacetamide herbicides are also known to degrade to many other neutral degradates that have not been studied extensively in natural waters.
