Abstract: A handbook for preschool teachers expalains the necessity for early childhood nutrition education and provides activities in the following content areas: Science, Language Arts/Reading Readiness, Mathematics, Social Studies and Art. Lesson plans list applicable concepts or topics for discussion, suggested activities, some background nutrition information and enrichment activities. Suggestions for field trips, tasting parties and parent involvement are also provided. A resource list includes both Spanish and English materials. (js).
