Cold treatment promotes in vitro germination of two endangered Lachenalia species

Lachenalia viridiflora and L. doleritica seed germination under in vitro conditions is presented. The authors wanted to morphologically verify how these species germinate after cold treatment. The results demonstrate, that one week of 5°C significantly improve the germination process, what can be used in germplasm conservation of these endangered plants.
