Plasticulture, is a relatively new discipline. In the Iberoamerican area (Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries of America and Europe) plasticulture has grown into a great interest. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can assist the extension of these techniques in this wide territory, using mainly internet, knowledge management and GIS tools. CIACAP is a CYTED project oriented to the dissemination and adaptation of known plasticulture techniques to the Iberoamerican area through a web index of resources, including methods, interest places, tools, and references. It is indexed using a knowledge map of the discipline developed as a semantic web, referencing all the elements using techniques of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This study presents this index that has been assembled using mainly terminological lists, conceptual models, and standard relations. The developed knowledge map is somehow a specialization of the works developed for the FAO Agriculture Ontology Service. It is a detailed application case, limited to the plasticulture in the Iberamerican area. The applied methodology and actual state of conceptual models, terminological lists and standard relations as main components of the semantic web is presented.
