Present investigation was conducted to evaluate chrysanthmum varieties for loose flower production in Chhattisgarh plains during the year 2010–2011 with three replication and eleven treatments including eleven varieties. Variety Decorative White (T₃) was found to be effective on vegetative growth parameters and recorded maximum Plant height (60.9 cm), Plant spread (40 cm), number of branches per plant (16) and number of leaves per branches (44). Instead of vegetative growth parameter flowering attributes show maximum variation among treatments. Significantly earlier appearance of bud (43), maximum average flower weight (8.6g), average 100 flower weight (320g), size of flower (8.5 cm) recorded under T₂ (Pompon Rosy Pink). Maximum flower diameter (7.60 cm) and floret size (2.1cm) recorded under T₉ (Suneel) Maximum number of flower per branch (8) recorded under Tₙ whereas, maximum number of florets per flower (860) recorded under T₄ (Decorative Reddish Yellow). In treatment T₃ maximum number of flower per plant (42) was observed in impressive condition. Highest yield was observed under treatment T₃ (18.90 kg).
