Nutrition: A medical, political, and public issue
1979
White, Philip L.

The importance of nutrition in medicine has been recognized with the benefits of nutrition support in chemotherapy as an example. Half the bills introduced in the first half of the 95th Congress dealt with food and nutrition. Dietary goals for the United States have polarized positions and raised unwarrented expectations. Sweeteners, nitrites and salt are public issues.
