Spontaneous aggregation of endoglucanse 1 from Trichoderma reesei QM 9414
1992
The major endoglucanase produced by Trichoderma reesei when grown on wheat straw has been identified as endoglucanase 1. The enzyme showed some striking features in solution that could be ascribed to its ability to aggregate spontaneously. This may contribute to the existing confusion about the number and the nature of endoglucanases from T. reesei.
