A Genetic Study of Flowering Time in Flax
1972
The inheritance of flowering time was studied in five crosses of flax, Linum usitatissimum L. Genotype-environment interaction, such that early or late-flowering gentotypes were more variable than intermediate-flowering genotypes, was important in determining flowering time. The genetic control of flowering time proved to be multigenetic with epistasis playing an important part.
