Computerized nutrient analysis for foodservice

A study assessed what foodservice professionals perceive they need in computerized nutrient analysis systems. Of the 81 respondents, 75% or more found all components of nutrient analysis software useful or very useful. The highest value characteristics of this software were felt to be the analysis of % RDA, menu planning based on individual/group dietary requirements, the analysis of menus for nutrient content, and the identification of nutrient deficiencies/excesses in a diet or menu.
