Persistence of tetraniliprole and its metabolite BCS-CQ 63359 is reported in leaves, immature cob, mature grains, stover of maize and soil after application of tetraniliprole 480 FS as seed treatment at the recommended dose (3.6 g a.i kg⁻¹ seed) and double the recommended dose (7.2 g a.i kg⁻¹ seed). The field trial was conducted during Kharif, 2018 at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The leaf samples were collected at regular intervals (from 20 d after sowing) while the immature cobs were collected at first picking (70ᵗʰ d after sowing), and mature grains, stover and soil at harvest. These were analyzed for residues of tetraniliprole and its metabolite BCS-CQ 63359 by LC-MS/MS and both were found to be less than the limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.05 mg kg⁻¹ at both the doses in all the matrices.
