An experiment was carried out at Cashew Research Station, Ransinghpur, Bhubaneswar under multilocational trial to evaluate the performance of different cashew types under Odisha agro-climatic condition. The experiment was laid out with 11 entries such as BH-6 (Jagannatha), BH-85(Balabhardra), H-1597, H662, H-675, H-32/4, K-22-1, H-11, H-14, and Goa-11/6 (Bhaskara). The promising cashew type BPP-8 (H2/16) was taken as local check. Evaluation of the two years data of the present experiment with respect to the yield and important yield attributing traits of 11 cashew types revealed significant variations in nut yield among the types. The result also indicated a wide range of variation for different parametersunder study. From the experimental findings it is revealed that cashew type BPP-8(H-2/16) recorded maximum canopy spread (8.3m & 8.8m) as well as ground coverage (44.21% and 47.73%) in East-West and North-South direction respectively. Maximum number of flowering laterals meter⁻² was recorded in cashew type H-11(19.4). The cashew types BH-85 & H-1597 recorded highest number of nuts panicle⁻¹ (5). The annual nut yieldrecordedby the cashewtypes BH-85 (10.3 kg plant⁻¹) for 7ᵗʰ harvest was found to be significantly superior to all other cashew types. Cumulative nut yield at 7ᵗʰ harvest (kg plant⁻¹) was recorded maximum in BH-85(30.5) followed by BH6(27.0), Goa-11/6(22.0) and BPP-8(18.3).
