Digestibility of Fall Grown Kentucky 31 Fescue
1963
Brown, R. H. | Blaser, R. E. | Fontenot, J. P.
SynopsisDry matter digestibility did not decrease with advancing age of the plants in the fall of 1960 and 1961; in I960, there was a significant increase with age. Protein content and apparent digestibility of protein decreased as fescue aged in both years. The reverse was true for the N. F. E. fraction. Digestibility of crude fiber and cellulose decreased with age in I960 but was unaffected by age of grass in 1961.
